Joaquin Acosta is an accomplished player and experienced coach with a passion for the sport of volleyball and helping others succeed.  Joaquin’s volleyball career has included numerous accomplishments as well as a fair share of setbacks. In dealing with several injuries (including torn rotator cuff, twice broken big toe, low back), Joaquin has had the opportunity to work with some top minds in the arena of performance training and rehabilitation and has increased his knowledge of the human body from a biomechanical and nutritional standpoint.  Through these setbacks, Joaquin has learned the value of commitment, perseverance, and patience, and passes those important qualities on to the individuals he coaches and mentors.

Aside from volleyball, Joaquin is also a licensed attorney in CA and FL.  He worked for approximately two years at the Manhattan Beach based law firm of Reback, McAndrews, Kjar, Warford, Stockalper and Moore LLP specializing in medical malpractice defense. Joaquin is the oldest of four brothers, was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and now resides in Orange County, CA with his wife Coral and his son Joaquin Andres (4) and daughter Andrea Isabel (1).
